[Emery does semi-regularly communicate with Calanthe or occasionally the Field Lord via Vision spell, so it’s not like he’s given totally free reign. But for the most part, yes, Emery’s been gifted enough time and space to hang out with Zel.]
The Field Lord likes having someone available to keep an eye on things in the human realm, so that’s my usual job, just keeping up to date on the politics and other current events.
