[He pauses a moment to let Manabu digest that, before finally getting to his point:]

I think the best course of action will be for us to combine our forces and make our own way back to Destiny. Your colleagues in the SDF will know you well enough to confirm your identity, and then you'll have the SDF's backing to take down anyone left that's responsible for what happened.
