It's of historical interest, I suppose... Jane Austen was a very popular author in her time and still is, and I think her writing merits it. As for the subject matter, I like that it has absolutely no relevance to my own life.
[It's nice to read a book and think about some 19th century girl's marriage woes instead of about his own problems. It's one of the few things that sometimes works to make Grey not brood on things.

I've also been told before that boys, or men, shouldn't read romances. And I cannot abide being told what I can or cannot do.
