Well, it is a famous tragedy for a reason. As are Macbeth and Hamlet, actually. Shakespeare's plays are generally categorized into three groups: The tragedies, the histories such as Richard the Third, and the comedies; The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, and so forth. He's credited with thirty-nine plays in total.
