[Grey can be a vindictive piece of work but the realization that this is Just Some (criminal) Guy cools his blood lust. There's nothing to be gained from harming this man further, and especially not from tattling to the authorities. So once the allotted three minutes have passed, Grey obediently lets the man go and stands next to Manabu.
He watches the thief scurry off, clutching a scraped up face. Once he's out of earshot, Grey remarks:]
I thought he was someone you recognized.
[The way Grey says this is just a tad accusatory.]
