mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it
There has been a mishap of sorts, and now there is mistletoe everywhere- in the rafters, hanging from doorways, in trees, etc. It is also very magical mistletoe and if you step underneath some along with someone else, you'll be stuck there until you've kissed.
This is readily apparent not just because of the whole "can't move" thing, but also because the mistletoe talks and is loudly encouraging you to kiss.

DETAILS:
- Yeah, talking mistletoe. NPC it as you like. It can't do much other than trap you in place and yell at you, though.
- Maybe the mistletoe'll be fine with cheek smooches and hand kisses and let you go with just that, but if you want it to be insistent on mouth kisses, you can specify.
- This is really just an elaborate excuse to embarrass our characters, enjoy.
